We love playing "Show Down" with our sight words!

2. child will write the word on the board.
         3.  when you (parent) call out "show down",

Our first week!

What a wonderful first week in kindergarten!!  Our days were filled with many exciting activites as well as practicing rules and procedures.  We introduced our first "Star Student", Zachary!  We explored the letters in Zachary's name, interviewed him, and wrote/drew pictures about Zachary.  Each day I will pick at random a new star student.  We also had our first fire drill, and I was very proud of how well each student stayed in line and followed directions.   Here is what a few students had to say about their week:

Tyra:  I liked being the second star student.  It was fun talking in the microphone!
D.J.:  I liked learning that we were each going to have a job.  My job is magic soap (hand sanitizer).  Yes!
Emmett:  I liked reading Chika Chika Boom Boom.
Ryan:  Recess is pretty fun!
Evelyn: I liked learning our calendar math song.
