Salad fresh from the garden

The class enjoyed picking carrots, peas, lettuce, and radishes for our class salad. They were very excited to pick the vegetables they grew! Ranch on the carrots was a big hit!

Zoo trip

We had a great time at the zoo! The weather was absolutely beautiful and all the animals were out....even the Tigers! Could not have asked for a better day!

Sleepover Family Night

We had around 90 first graders attend Sleepover Family Night. Families enjoyed eating tacos from the Jalepeno Food Truck! The first graders enjoyed stamping their pillow cases with a variety of stamps. A few even painted their hand and finger painted!! Take a look at this wonderful night.

Sleepover!!!

We had a wonderful day at First grade Sleepover! We began the day with a parade. The students carried flashlights and their bear, lion, or  tiger pillow. They really enjoyed walking through the hallways in the dark! After the parade, we headed to the dining room for donuts and dancing, following a day of centers, pizza lunch, and a dance party with Mrs.KK. It was an "oz"ome day!!

Readers to Leaders

Our class met the Readers to Leaders goal for second weeks. To celebrate, Mrs. Philips set up Reading Bingo in the dining room. We had an "oz"ome time playing. The best part was the everyone got a prize!!! 

Florida Theater

We had a wonderful time at the Florida Theater. The class was well behaved and enjoyed watching the play: Fly Guy and Other Stories. The following books were used in the play: Fly Guy, Diary of a Worm, Fluffy the Classroom Guinea Pig, Horace & Morace But Mostly Delores, Lily's Bug Day, The Paper Bag Princess, and Kitten's First Full Moon. Ask your child about those favorite part of the play!
